Mishmi Hills tea originates from India’s own ‘Land of the Rising Sun’, Arunachal Pradesh. It is grown in the foothills of the Himalayas along the banks of the Jia River and bamboo groves in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. The green leaves are finely plucked by skilled workers and then steamed in stainless steel and bamboo containers. The leaves are then rolled in small rollers and then dried in Venetian dryers, which were brought to India in the 1800s by the British to dry tea.
